In Between the Middle

and they talk about long walks on the beach
underneath the moonlit sky
summer’s sweetest kiss
and springs brightest light
in bloom and fruit-bearing
written in rainbow hues and gemstones fencing..

like a drop of blood in white snow
there defines fragility
ethereal beings intertwining like the stars that light up the night
like every wave that touches the shore
and the bird with freedom on its wings
i was there.

once. twice. three times more..
and i breath the same air with you
and walked the same ground with you
was it not enough?

you had me like a promise written on strings
snapping one by one
a knot wont even hold
with your weapons of destruction i am bent down
killed in action and a casualty
of your selfishness and greed and lust..

i have died in the battle field.

resurrection is denied as you banished me into oblivion.
but vengeance is mine, the Lord promised.
prepare yourself.

my battle is won.
